Privacy policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Paris Authority respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can access or delete it.

Data we collect

We only collect the data needed to run the site:

  • Account: email address, password (stored encrypted), gender and avatar if you provide them.
  • Comments: the name you enter and your message text, linked to your account.
  • Favorites: the attractions and guides you save from your account.
  • Cookies: see our dedicated cookies page for details.

How we use it

This data is only used to run the site: identifying you, showing your favorites, publishing your comments after moderation, and securing your account. It is never used for advertising.

Sharing your data

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It may be passed to our hosting provider only to the extent needed to run the site technically. If you accept analytics cookies, some browsing data (pages viewed, referrer, device) is also shared with Google (Google Analytics), including outside the European Union — you can decline or withdraw this consent at any time from our cookie settings page.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can ask for your account and associated data to be deleted at any time.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your personal data.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@parisauthority.com.
